This year, MedRes celebrates its 20th anniversary — two decades of advancing minimally invasive medical device innovation. What began in 2005 as a small engineering team has grown into a global CDMO serving multiple clinical areas, with capabilities spanning from concept development to full-scale manufacturing.

How It All Began

MedRes’s journey started in women’s health, designing and manufacturing surgical devices for treating fibroids and polyps in gynecology. As expertise expanded, new clinical areas were added:

• Orthopedics innovations addressing disc injuries, arthritis, and vertebral collapse
• Urology devices focusing on prostate enlargement and urinary disorders
• Airway management technologies supporting airway management and apnea treatment
• Cardiovascular system solutions targeting structural heart defects and heart failure
• Gastroenterology instruments enabling tumor surgery and bariatric surgery

Over the years, MedRes has delivered thousands of surgical and interventional devices, each contributing to improved patient outcomes — saving lives or aiding recovery worldwide.

Expanding Horizons: Nitinol Technology & New Facilities

2024 marked a milestone with the opening of the US Nitinol Technology Center in Carlsbad, CA — a global hub for Nitinol-enabled medical device development, providing unmatched precision, expertise, and end-to-end support, spanning vascular and neurovascular applications through to dental and contraceptive innovations.

In 2025, we took another major step forward with our new manufacturing facility in Hungary. Featuring nearly 600 m² of Class 8 cleanrooms, a dedicated ESD manufacturing area, injection molding capabilities, and modern logistics infrastructure, this site significantly increases production capacity and scalability for partners worldwide.
